Lively and affectionate like a terrier

Need a lot of exercise to be happy
Very active indoors (could be annoying to neighbors)
May be prone to tumors (my neighbor's dog died from this)
Not sure the personality is right for us, but it is kind of cool. Maybe there are similar dogs out there that might be better suited for us. Let us know in the poll on the right and in the comments.

Miniature Schnauzers are way cuter. But this guy's beard is good.
ReplyDeletemy family's first dog was a miniature schnauzer. she was super cute and affectionate, but barked a lot and hated other dogs. she also died of the tumor thing. but if you're going with a schnauzer, mini ones are the way to go.
ReplyDeleteThe Doka's had 2 schnazer's. They lived a long time and they barked constantly. They were house dogs and did well in the house. They did bark a lot in the backyard. The shedding and grooming thing sounds good. Let's face it every dog is going to bark and with good training you may be able to control some. It seems like every breed of dog has some kind of health issue. So pick the dog you really like and enjoy every minute loving them and what happens happens.
